How do I print my personalized story? The complete guide: at home or in hardcover
Your kid already has their story: their name, their face, their adventure. Now you want to hold it — not just see it on a screen. There are two paths, and both start in the same place: your Imagins library.
The short answer: you can print any story free at home by exporting it as a PDF, or order a professional printed book — softcover from €24.99 or hardcover from €34.99, standard shipping included — delivered to your door in 1-2 weeks.
Option 1: print at home (free, ready tonight)
Every story in your library can be exported as PDF and ePub at no extra cost: open the story, hit export and choose PDF. The file comes fully laid out, page by page, with full-bleed illustrations and the text exactly as you see it in the reader.
To make it look great on paper:
- Paper: regular 80 gsm paper works, but if you can, use 120-160 gsm — color illustrations love it.
- Printer settings: color, portrait orientation and "fit to page". If your printer does duplex, turn on booklet mode and you'll get something surprisingly close to a real little book.
- Home binding: two staples along the spine, a stationery-shop spiral (usually €2-3) or a folder with plastic sleeves for the youngest readers, who turn pages with enthusiasm.
The ePub, meanwhile, is ideal for e-readers and tablets — no ink required.
This option is perfect when the story is for tonight: zero wait, zero cost.
Option 2: the professional printed book (for gifts, and for keeps)

- Pick the stories from your library you want bound together (the book needs a minimum of 24 pages — a couple of stories already gets you there).
- Generate the collection cover: the AI creates a brand-new cover that weaves together motifs from all the chosen stories, with the title you decide. The back cover too.
- Add the personal touches: a dedication printed on the first page and a back-cover message (by default, the list of stories in the collection).
